By joining the PTA, you help us meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of their budget. You also get great discounts, locally and nationally. When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events, you set a fine example for our students to follow, and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.

Parents and students are both encouraged to join the PTA!

When you become a member you are:

• Joining the largest children's advocacy group and becoming a voice for every child in RISD
• Receiving valuable information through our news emails
• Meeting new people and having the opportunity to volunteer if you choose

 

How do student members benefit?

• Participation in our PTA Student Ambassadors program
• Gaining an active voice in a large advocacy group (which is a great resume builder)
• Access to leadership development, offered by experiened PTA who are industry leaders

Go to meetings? 
No. You are welcome to attend our general meetings though. 

Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school? 
Nope! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.
